Ingredients list

3/4 cup butter, divided
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, divided
1 large egg, beaten
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon milk
2 cups confection sugar
1 bar German chocolate
1 teaspoon butter

Fudge Meltaways Directions

  1. Melt 1/2 cup butter and unsweetened chocolate in a large saucepan.
  2. Blend sugar, 1 teaspoon of the vanilla, egg, graham cracker crumbs, coconut and nuts into the chocolate/butter mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Press mixture into a 9x9 pan; then refrigerate.
  4. Cream 1/4 cup of the butter, milk, confection sugar and the other teaspoon of vanilla.
  5. Spread over the crumb mixture, then refrigerate.
  6. Melt German chocolate and 1 teaspoon of butter.  Spread evenly over mixture in 9x9 pan, then refrigerate. 
  7. Cut into squares before completely firm.
